I'm Tessa Downs, Joel's wife. Joel and I have been married since 2008 and I can honestly say that each year just keeps getting better and we are continuing to grow more in love.

We have four children and enjoy spending time together as a family. We like to play games, watch movies, play outside, go for walks, go on vacations and just be together.
Marriage and parenting doesn't come easily though. It comes with many challenges. One thing I have learned is if your marriage isn't doing well, then that carries over into your parenting and everything else in your life and things just start falling apart.

I truly believe that your marriage should come first. You and your spouse need to put your relationship first. If you do that, then everything else will fall into place and become easier to handle.

Joel and I have had our fair share of challenging times and I know that
because we have worked hard to communicate and be there for each other to help each other through them, it has helped us immensely.
​
It also helps us to not fear what else will be thrown our way. It gives us the confidence in each other and in our relationship that we can get through anything; as long as we are together.
​

The biggest thing you'll learn is that you have a choice. You have full control over your life and what you want out of it. Being with the one you love is a choice, not a burden. You get to wake up every day and choose to fight for the one you love or not to. So, what's your choice?
